Multiple LG Appliances Fail Under 2 Years

Under two years old and the broiler stopped working. Reached out to LG and they told me since it was out of warranty to find my own repair person. Cost me $470 to fix which was half the price of a new one. My LG microwave bought at the same time has issues with the screen as well. Hugh letdown from LG.

Its been a week now since our oven was delivered and it has yet to be installed nor has anyone reached out to schedule an appointment. I have contacted support twice no known resolution yet.

Great Oven horrible delivery and customer service

The Range is great at least most of it. The delivery service is crap putting it kindly. We received the oven but no call day prior after repeated requests to see if we needed to get any extra fittings. They delivered but the cap for one of the burners was missing. They said they reported it to LG but that never happened. After repeated emails and calls to LG still no service and no cap for the large burner. LG said they would get back to us by tomorrow. If not will cease payment on range as the oven is incomplete. All buy your oven from a brick and mortar where you can go to address matters like this.

Is this a mid-oven?

Bought this oven in September 2023 and now it is August 2024 and apparently the motherboard has to be replaced. The issue that started me calling LG for customer service was that the broiler was not working in convection mode or airfry mode. I dont think it has since we bought it But as it is with new appliances you dont always know what normal is supposed to be. It takes some time to learn the products regular behavior. For example after we first bought it we tried making fish sticks and thought the air fry would be a good option but the result was very lackluster. Thats probably because it didnt work from the beginning. Which is so unfortunate because when you buy an appliance you hope its made well. Hopefully after getting it diagnosed for the second time today the first time the LG technician dropped their contract with LG on the day they were supposed to arrive with the part. The new technician came today and diagnosed it as a motherboard problem. Now Im told its going to be another several days before the part comes in and they can install it. I dont know is this a low end oven?

Terrible product with even worse customer service

I purchased this gas range to replace our previous stove after the igniter stopped working. The first stove that was delivered was defective. The portion of the stove with the burners would lift completely off from the base. This was returned and I was sent a second stove and now when baking the faceplate above the door becomes extremely hot even without opening the oven door. I have contacted LG for replacement and after a week they continue to give me the run around. They sent out a technician who didnt even have the right tools to check temperature of the face plate. This will be my last purchase from LG.

Ive had this range since beginning of June. The oven has not worked since I got it. Installer could not get to work and LG repair could not get to work. A month and a half is way too long to wait for oven to get fixed. About ready to cancel payment and send back. All my appliances including tractor are LG products. Cook top is great. Although burners need adjusted as they are too hot.

oven racks and ability to pull out racks is awful

I like the stove however the rack that came with the oven bows when I use my cast iron pot and the racks DO NOT pull out when you have to remove things from the oven. A heavy duty rack needs to be part of the package that will not bow and will pull out with ease.

In brief purchased because oven had an air fryer. The disadvantages are not worth the feature. 1. As someone mentioned the gas burners are too high/hot. I need to decrease recommended cooking times when following instructions for rice. 2. The stains on the burners do not come clean even after I watched and followed LG video instructions. 3. Oven: tried working and calibrating for 3 months. they say you cant use a $10 thermometer to test a $1000 + appliance. Used: https://www.allrecipes.com/article/how-to-test-your-oven-temperature-with-sugar example: i will set temp to 368 and the thermometer reads 375. I then want to rerun test at 365 but if I set oven temp and enter 365 before the oven is completely cooled down the thermometer shows 400. Ive seen this repeatedly. in order to set a new temp i need to shut the oven off and have to wait for it to cool off completely. With the oven behaving this way I dont trust the convection or air fry features. Most of the things I have baked do not come out right.

I have owned this stovetop/oven for almost a year now and use it almost daily. The stovetop runs very hot--I cook very little on a higher heat than medium. The convection oven is just OK which is a disappointment. At times Im not even sure the fan is working as it is quiet. I found the steam clean function is worthless but havent yet tried the self clean option. The oven racks stick badly when hot and it is very difficult to slide them out at all. As far as cleaning the stove top--I like a shiny top although it is covered anyway. Difficult to shine it up even with microfiber cloth. I also found that putting the small gas caps back in the correct position can be difficult. Overall I am pleased with the appliance.

Smart and easy a stove for everyone

Ive owned this range for a month now I use it daily and feel its made cooking easier. I like how it knows to sense and convert to the best temperature. The air fry begins as soon as you turn it on speeding up cook time. Preheats quickly the convection roast is wonderful and made a moist steak to be sliced for lunch wraps. Ive used my Dutch oven to make stew which came out tender without creating mushy carrots how did it do that Ive cooked 3 pizzas at once and they all came out crispy golden evenly cooked and did not take any longer than if cooking just one. Very impressive oven. I love the stovetop even using my same cookware I can tell its heating faster and cooking more evenly. I use the middle griddle for heating tortillas. Each burner serves a different purpose I love the ultra for heating a large pot of water quickly. The grates are heavy of course but they fit in place much easier than my last stove and they are slightly lighter making them easier to remove and clean often. The quick clean feature on the oven is brilliant AND works great Smart range. Beautiful Worth every penny.

Great gas range and oven is easy to clean. Had a small problem with the display but LG sent a person out and fixed it within a week. Great customer service. Only very small issue I have is it takes a while to heat up to temp Otherwise very solid and cooks great. Having the skillet option in the middle of the range is a nice option as well. I would definitely recommend.

Best Stove Ever

I bought all my products at Home Depot in a 3 item bundle. A new fridge microwave and stove. Of all of them the stove is my absolutely favorite. I love the blue inside Im working on keeping it super blue as long as I can. Through the app you can link the stove to your over the range microwave which was nice at first but a lot of the time not needed. Remote start can only be done when you hit the remote button on the stove. Which at first bugged me but then I realized better that then a terrible accident. A lot of the times Im cooking Im doing 3 other things from helping with homework to cleaning the features on the app allow me to slow down dinner without breaking concentration from what Im doing. It is relatively easy to clean the stove top but the grates and burner tops do hold junk when spilled on no matter how immediately or hard you clean. Burners are strong and work good. Features are easy to use from the stove top. Would I buy this again. Yes. Absolutely in a heart beat 10/10

Oven purchased Dec 2020. March 2024 Enamel flakes off into food. Interior not covered by warranty. No help from LG or Home Depot. Eating glass enamel is pretty dangerous. And selling an oven you know wont make it 4 years is irresponsible.

Seems pretty good lots of features that I will never use and I wish I could have gotten a model without all of the bells and whistles. Customer service experience has been a nightmare -- have been trying for 3 months to get some warranty parts replaced

Delivered and installed but not straight

I purchased this over a month ago and after installation noticed the bottom drawer and door were out of alignment and it seems the frame was also. So have reported to Service who said they will initiate a replacement. Nothing heard back since Not good customer service LG.

My wife loves gas range so when we moved recently we changed the electric range for a new LG 5.8 CU FT. SMART WI-FI ENABLED TRUE CONVECTION INSTAVIEW GAS RANGE WITH AIR FRY. We are extremely happy with the new range. With this ga range we have instant heat and when we are done the heat can be turned off. No wasted time to heat up an electric burner or wasted energy with the electric burner cooing down. This was a great purchase.
